Mercur

The marketplace engine you fully own

The complete engine a marketplace runs on that stays yours, forever. Open at the core & running on your own infrastructure, with zero GMV fees.

Three ways to run a marketplace

Two of them make you give something up.

Rent it

A hosted platform

Fast to start. But you pay a percentage of everything you sell, and your stack lives on someone else's terms.Gives up:MarginStack

Build it

Your own engine, from scratch

Full control. But it takes years to get right, and the maintenance never ends.Gives up:YearsUpkeep

Own it

Mercur

The open-source engine, running on your infrastructure. You keep the hard part already built – and you keep the code.Gives up:Nothing structural

We built this because we kept needing it

Mercur comes from Rigby, a commerce engineering team. We built marketplaces from scratch, in production, for years – and hit the same wall every time. The tools force a choice: rent a platform that takes a cut of your revenue and locks in your stack, or build the whole engine yourself and own the maintenance forever. So we open-sourced the hard part – the marketplace engine underneath – and kept it yours to run. The complex machinery is free and readable. What we sell is the layer on top: the trust, the financial control, and the guarantees that a serious marketplace runs on.

The name you compare Mirakl against

Not a cheaper Mirakl – a different class of product. The incumbents are closed, hosted, and priced on your growth. Mercur is open, self-hosted, and yours. We're building it so that on the criteria that actually decide these projects, the honest comparison lands our way more and more often.ownershipcost modelflexibilitycompliance

Mercur Open Source

A complete, working multi-vendor core on Medusa v2 – vendors, split orders, commissions, payouts, catalog, offers. Inspected and pressure-tested by a global developer community.

The foundation every layer above is built on

Built by a team that develops marketplaces for leading brands

Mercur was built by Rigby – people who have spent 5+ years building and launching marketplaces in production. And because you own the code, working with us is a choice, not a lock-in.

See it running, then read the code

Book a walkthrough and we'll map Mercur to your marketplace. Or start in the source – it's all open.
